11.0.2.1047 (CU7)
11.0.2.1141 (CU8)

Feel Confident as We Build a Better Product Experience

Henry Schein One is excited to announce an update to our Dentrix Enterprise product lifecycle management policy, aimed at delivering the highest quality products to you and driven by customer feedback. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible customer experience and to ensure that our products meet your evolving needs.

We have indicated in the past that we will support and maintain “two previous versions” of Dentrix Enterprise. Effective immediately, we have updated this to include specifics for Long-Term Support (LTS) releases, in which a stable release of Enterprise Versions is maintained for a longer and more predictable timeframe than previously stated. This update in policy allows us to focus all our resources and efforts on the stability and performance of each current release plus two versions strategically designated as LTS.

Currently, 11.0.2.1047 (CU7) and 11.0.2.1141 (CU8) have been designated as LTS versions.

Regardless of which version you are on, the designation of standard or LTS will not impact technical support service and assistance included in your customer support plan. Product maintenance and support, such as developing scripted code changes, hot fixes, or patches, will be available much faster by maintaining or updating your system and workstations to one of the current LTS versions or the standard current release.

Should you be on a non-LTS version and identify a need for a service patch, support will assist you through the process of updating your system and workstations to one of the LTS version which will include the service patch.

Version LTS Designation Established LTS Designation Expires
11.0.2.1047 (CU7) 08/2023
11.0.2.1141 (CU8) 04/2024
Next LTS Release
11.0.43
04/2023 04/2025
Following LTS Release 04/2024 04/2026

This information will be kept updated on this page as additional information is released or as LTS versions change.

Please contact Product Support, your Customer Success Manager or your Program Manager should you have additional questions and see the Frequently Asked Questions section below.

Great News about New Version releases!

Henry Schein One and Dentrix Enterprise must be mindful of our customer’s voice and best interests as they focus on delivering patient care. We understand that preparing to accept new versions of our software can be an involved process.

Over the next few months, you will begin experiencing an improved way we are building and deploying new Enterprise versions and updates and we want everyone to join us on this journey.

You will start to notice new versions which focus on small updates with fewer new features on a more regular and consistent cadence. These targeted releases are intended to improve your experience with our software with new features, increased stability and faster repairs to issues that have been uncovered. We are also working to significantly reduce the time it takes to install these updates. Our goal is to make it easier to prepare for accepting new versions with less preparation and training needs and less likelihood of disturbance to your patient care.

Please contact Product Support, your Customer Success Manager or your Program Manager should you have additional questions.

A Few Frequently Asked Questions

What is LTS?

The Long-Term Support Program identifies which Enterprise software versions for which service patches will be deployed. As of February 1, 2023 11.0.2.143 (CU7) and 11.0.2.1141 (CU8) have been designated as LTS versions. The next LTS version will be released in April. While only the LTS versions will receive service patches, all Enterprise versions will continue to have the full Product Support available to the organization. Product maintenance and support, such as developing scripted code changes, hot fixes, or patches, will be available much faster by maintaining or updating your system and workstations to one of the current LTS versions or the standard current release.

What Does the LTS program Mean to Me?

If you are currently on Version 11.0.2.1047 CU7 or 11.0.2.1141 CU8 or plan to update to the April release 11.0.43 you are fully supported, should you identify a need for a service patch. If you are on any other version, Product maintenance and support, such as developing scripted code changes, hot fixes, or patches, will be available much faster by maintaining or updating your system and workstations to one of the current LTS versions or the standard current release.

Technical Support will always provide a “best effort” to support our customers regardless of the version of the software they are on.

What Versions have the LTS designation?

As of February 1, 2023 Versions 11.0.2.1047 (CU7) or 11.0.2.1141 (CU8) are designated as LTS.

Version LTS Designation Established LTS Designation Expires
11.0.2.1047 (CU7) 08/2023
11.0.2.1141 (CU8) 04/2024
Next LTS Release
11.0.43
04/2023 04/2025
Following LTS Release 04/2024 04/2026

If I do not have a LTS version, does this mean I do not need an annual support plan?

You should absolutely have an annual support plan. While you will not have automatic service patches for older versions, the support plan does entitle you to new versions and upgrades which give you the patches at no additional cost. You also will still have access to Product Support for any how-to questions or other questions no related to bug fixes.
